Wallenberg's fate remained a mystery for over 55 years until the end of 2000, when within two months the Kremlin comission investigating the case of Raoul Wallenberg admitted that "he was shot in the KBG prison in Moscow ...and declares Wallenberg and his driver, Vilmos Langfelder, innocent of all spying charges.
